INF-ACT is an Extended Partnership (PE) project on the topic of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases with epidemic/pandemic potential, offered by the National Reprise and Resilience Program (NRRP).
The aim of this national project is to generate a scientific impact to define effective operational and organizational procedures on the healthcare systems. The first step in achieving this goal is to establish clear priorities when identifying potential infection threats on Italian territory.
The BGC lab is responsible for investigating the association between wildlife host species and zoonotic viruses, to identify drivers and hotspots of spillover risk as part of Spoke 4 of the project.
